USANA Health Sciences Inc. (USNA.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said its board had approved an additional $50 million for repurchases of its outstanding common stock.
This authorization would be in addition to the $6.8 million currently remaining in its share repurchase plan, the maker of nutritional, personal care and weight management products said in a statement. (Reporting by Sharangdhar Limaye in Bangalore)
The Key To Connecting by Keith Ferrazzi
Author Todd Falcone | 30.07.2007 | Category Fearless Prospecting, MLM Basics, Book Reviews
Keith Ferrazzi is a NETWORKER. Keith has relationships with lots of big names in business and entertainment among his 5,000 plus people in his Palm that will take his phone call. Keith’s book, Never Eat Alone, talks about what it takes to connect with people, a vital skill in building a large Network Marketing business.
The article below had a funny quote from Keith that I thought you would enjoy.
The crowd of Harvard Business School alums who gathered at their reunion to hear networking expert Keith Ferrazzi speak earlier this summer might have expected to pick up strategies on how to work a room, remember people’s names, or identify mentors. But tactical skills, it turns out, aren’t what turned Ferrazzi into a bestselling author or sought-after speaker.
Instead Ferrazzi let his fellow alums in on a little secret. The key to connecting, he told the group, is “not being an a**hole.” And the most effective path he’s found? Meditation. Exercise and prayer work too, he said, but meditation has been so effective that he now spends ten days every year at a silent meditation retreat. In other words, the man whose latest book is “Never Eat Alone” credits much of his success to alone time.
The 4-Hour Work Week
Author Todd Falcone | 26.07.2007 | Category Book Reviews
Tim Ferriss recently wrote a book called “The 4-Hour Work Week”, which I guarantee you will be an all time best-selling book on the title alone, not to mention the content.
In Timothy Ferriss’ Blog and his book, he talks about Experiments in Lifestyle Design, which sounded to me like an interesting read in and of itself.
If you care to check his blog out…go for it.

Mark Yarnell: The Real Truth
Author Todd Falcone | 25.07.2007 | Category Inspiration
As you are probably well aware, I have been interviewing quite a few people lately and putting those interviews up on my podcasting section.

Last week, I took the time to interview Mark Yarnell, who is well-known as being a long, long-termer (not to make him sound old) in the Networking profession.
He wrote the book: “Your First Year in Network Marketing“. He co-taught what was the only US-based accredited course on Network Marketing with Dr. Charles King at the University of Illinois in Chicago, has spoken on the podium globally and has simply had a very long and successful career in this profession.
I heard about him many, many years ago. In fact, I remember a time when I wasn’t really making ANY money in my business, heard about this incredible successful guy named “Mark Yarnell” and wondered…”Will I ever meet this guy? And…if I do, what would I say to him?”
Well…to make a long story short, it was long after that (after I had achieved a fairly high level of success) where I actually DID meet Mark. In fact, I met him at a Mexican Restaraunt in Hollister, California where HE had actually flown out to meet ME and see ME. Wow! What a trip that was.
“Mark Yarnell is flying to California to meet me? What?”
I remember being a bit nervous, but moreso excited about the chance to sit down and talk with him.
The result of that meeting was that I ended up working with him for several years in a company together and we became friends. Both of us love to fish, we both love thrill seeking, and both have a passion for this profession.
While we don’t speak to each other day or even every week, we are still good friends. And, I have a tremendous amount of respect for him because I know the real Mark Yarnell on a personal level.
So…here’s my point. I called him a week ago, told him that I wanted to do an interview with him for the purpose of my listeners and readers (you) having an opportunity to hear the REAL STORY about Mark Yarnell.
If you haven’t been to my Podcasting Section yet, you MUST hear this interview. You can go here: http://www.MLMPowerHour.com

MLM Heavy Hitters: The Secret Behind their Success
Author Todd Falcone | 17.07.2007 | Category MLM Training
What do people like Dan McCormick, Brian Carruthers, Sherman Unkefer and Jimmy Smith all have in common?
Now…this is interesting. I know each and every one of these gentlemen personally, some more than others, but I DO personally know each of them.
I personally call it “Morph” syndrome:
Wikipedia defines Morph as a fictional character, a comic book superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. He is a mutant shapeshifter.
Now…while I am NOT AT ALL insinuating that these guys are comic book superheros, but they or most CERTAINLY superheros in their own right.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for these people. Why?
They are unstoppable promoters. They never quit promoting. They are constantly on the move, consistently on top of their game, in a way most network marketers would dream of becoming.
These gentlemen made a choice. Do it, do it BIG, really BIG and keep on doing it. They NEVER, EVER stop.
I know for a fact that each of these guys are in the financial position where if they chose to, they would never have to work another day in their livers.
But…yet they continue. And…not only do they continue, they are hitting it hard ALL THE TIME.
That is why I refer to them as “morphs”. And when I say that word, I say it with a very, very positive meaning attached to it. Something in fact, that we can all learn from.
Are there others like them? Sure. Not many. But, there are others who are so insanely focused on what they are doing that they can’t help it but keep promoting.
Here’s part of their stories (from my personal perspective):
Dan McCormick: Dan is a Pharmanex distributor who I met years ago when we were working Body Wise International together. Get this…Dan joins a company about 5 years ago (NuSkin/Pharmanex), a company that many people won’t even consider because of their “age”, which is silly. And…he and his partner Lon Wardrop go on to create an absolutely insanely large check in just a few short years. Take Nathan Ricks for example. Nate has been in NuSkin forever, and is still there, and still working strong. Intensely focused, all of them.
Brian Carruthers: I met Brian several years ago. I can’t recall how long he has been in Pre-Paid Legal Services, but it has been a while. What I see in Brian is a guy who is the consumate promoter, who never ever stops recruiting. This guy is a machine and his check shows it.
Sherman Unkefer: Sherman is the single largest check in XanGo, at least according to my records, earning massive amounts of money, YET still hops on a plane almost every week traveling around the globe doing meetings and promoting XanGo. Does he NEED to do it to receive his check? Nope. But, he still does it. There’s something to learn about each of these guy’s habits.
Jimmy Smith: He’s a former butcher. I think pushing the age of 70 who is the top guy in Isagenix. Again…massive earnings and STILL plugging away, unstoppable in his approach to bring new people into his business.
What’s the lesson here? Look at what other successful people are doing and do the exact same thing. They have incredible work ethic and commitment, EVEN though they could easily retire and live their lives doing whatever it is that they do outside of their network marketing businesses.
By the way, there are a bunch of other people who I could mention in this blog post, but these are the gentlemen who I know personally who stick out as being very unique in their absolute and total commitment to promotion.
Remember, success is all about action. ProMOTION. You have to get into MOTION and take action to get results. If you want MASSIVE results like these fellows, then take their lead and take MASSIVE ACTION in your business.

Herbalife and David Beckham Make Sports Illustrated Cover
Author Todd Falcone | 12.07.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
It’s not everyday that a Network Marketing company graces the cover of a major magazine. In fact, outside of the “work at home” type magazines that are basically advertorial in nature, I can’t think of one.
Of course that changed when David Beckham, sporting an Herbalife - L.A. Galaxy jersey graced the cover of the most recent Sports Illustrated.
Herbalife made a very smart move in sponsoring the L.A. Galaxy, especially after they signed U.K. soccer phenom David Beckham.
David Beckham’s L.A. Galaxy jersey will likely be the number one selling jersey in American soccer and every single one of them will have Herbalife splashed across the front.
According the MLM Blog, Herbalife signed a 5 year deal worth $3.5 to $5 million with the L.A. Galaxy. The Herbalife deal follows a similar deal that Xango signed with Real Salt Lake.
It might be time to wake up your brother-in-law. Network Marketing is hitting the mainstream. The industry is no longer blue collar - broke people trying to make a buck and this type of news really goes a long way towards properly branding the image of Network Marketing. Special thanks to MLM phenom, Art Jonak for pointing out the cover.
YTB Ranked Among Top Travel Agencies
Author Todd Falcone | 11.07.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
I just read the following news about YTB. It’s great to see a Network Marketing travel company ranked with Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz.
PR:
YTB International, Inc. , a provider of Internet-based travel booking services for travel agencies and home-based independent representatives in the United States, today announced that the Company has been named as one of the country’s leading travel agencies in Travel Weekly’s 2007 Power List. As part of the Power List, YTB was ranked 35th among all travel agencies and included in the top 11 leisure travel agencies.
The Power List is primarily determined by gross sales volume, as well as several other factors including travel-related subsidiaries, percentage of sales from business and corporate structure. Other leading leisure travel agencies named in this year’s Power List are Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and AAA.
“We are honored to be included in Travel Weekly’s annual list of leading travel agencies. This recognition further validates the progress we have made over the last year as we continue to build YTB into a leading travel company,” commented J. Kim Sorensen, President and CEO of YTB Travel Network. “We are committed to the leisure market and have been growing our business at a phenomenal rate. As we look towards the future, we will continue to enhance the services and capabilities offered to our expanding network of RTAs and customers.”
Billionaire Investors and Endorsers of Network Marketing
Author Todd Falcone | 10.07.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
I had a new Network Marketing associate send me an email about being “drilled” by her family over the 4th of July for getting involved in a pyramid. She asked me how I handle the “pyramid” question.
The answer is, I don’t handle the question. Network Marketing is not a pyramid. (Period!) Pyramids are illegal, Network Marketing is not. It’s really that simple.
The pyramid question got me to thinking about the Billionaires that are involved in some form of Network Marketing, either as an investor or an endorser.
Warren Buffet - The 2nd richest man in the world, famous as the man behind Berkshire Hathaway, also owns The Pampered Chef, a Network Marketing company that sells branded kitchenware. Here is what Warren Buffet said about the company:
“We are extremely excited by The Pampered Chef. Doris Christopher has created from scratch an absolutely wonderful business and Sheila O’Connell Cooper is exactly the type of manager Berkshire admires. They both clearly love the business and the people they work with. We are delighted to add The Pampered Chef to the family of Berkshire businesses.”
Yes, you read that right. Warren Buffet is “extremely excited” about a Network Marketing company. The same type of company that your brother-in-law thinks is a pyramid scheme.
Richard Branson - Reportedly worth over $7 Billion and best known for his Virgin brand that includes over 300 companies. One of those companies is Virgin Vie At Home, a Network Marketing company specializing in cosmetics and jewelery.
The company is a proud direct seller of a quality product line.
Donald Trump - “The Donald” is reportedly worth $2.5 Billion. Known as a global real estate mogul and Executive Producer/Host of The Apprentice TV show, Trump had the following to say about ACN, a Network Marketing, Telecom company:
“ACN is a great company.”
In addition to controlling a huge amount of wealth, Buffet, Trump and Branson have something else in common…Network Marketing. You might want to think about these Billionaires, the next time someone gives you a pyramid question.
