Network Marketing Passion Parties Popular for Bachelorettes
Author Ty Tribble | 03.08.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
Network Marketing women are seeing success in the industry by throwing parties. I imagine the football and beer companies can’t be far behind so that men can get in on the MLM party plan.
Jewelry is not the only item featured at home parties. People host parties to sell products such as make-up, candles, cooking utensils and even adult toys.
In fact, Passion Parties seem to be gaining popularity for home events such as bachelorette parties. Instead of purchasing gifts for the bride-to-be before the girls’ get-together, a representative brings products to the party for them to purchase for the bride.

Herbalife and David Beckham Make Sports Illustrated Cover
Author Todd Falcone | 12.07.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
It’s not everyday that a Network Marketing company graces the cover of a major magazine. In fact, outside of the “work at home” type magazines that are basically advertorial in nature, I can’t think of one.
Of course that changed when David Beckham, sporting an Herbalife - L.A. Galaxy jersey graced the cover of the most recent Sports Illustrated.
Herbalife made a very smart move in sponsoring the L.A. Galaxy, especially after they signed U.K. soccer phenom David Beckham.
David Beckham’s L.A. Galaxy jersey will likely be the number one selling jersey in American soccer and every single one of them will have Herbalife splashed across the front.
According the MLM Blog, Herbalife signed a 5 year deal worth $3.5 to $5 million with the L.A. Galaxy. The Herbalife deal follows a similar deal that Xango signed with Real Salt Lake.
It might be time to wake up your brother-in-law. Network Marketing is hitting the mainstream. The industry is no longer blue collar - broke people trying to make a buck and this type of news really goes a long way towards properly branding the image of Network Marketing. Special thanks to MLM phenom, Art Jonak for pointing out the cover.
YTB Ranked Among Top Travel Agencies
Author Todd Falcone | 11.07.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
I just read the following news about YTB. It’s great to see a Network Marketing travel company ranked with Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz.
PR:
YTB International, Inc. , a provider of Internet-based travel booking services for travel agencies and home-based independent representatives in the United States, today announced that the Company has been named as one of the country’s leading travel agencies in Travel Weekly’s 2007 Power List. As part of the Power List, YTB was ranked 35th among all travel agencies and included in the top 11 leisure travel agencies.
The Power List is primarily determined by gross sales volume, as well as several other factors including travel-related subsidiaries, percentage of sales from business and corporate structure. Other leading leisure travel agencies named in this year’s Power List are Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and AAA.
“We are honored to be included in Travel Weekly’s annual list of leading travel agencies. This recognition further validates the progress we have made over the last year as we continue to build YTB into a leading travel company,” commented J. Kim Sorensen, President and CEO of YTB Travel Network. “We are committed to the leisure market and have been growing our business at a phenomenal rate. As we look towards the future, we will continue to enhance the services and capabilities offered to our expanding network of RTAs and customers.”
Billionaire Investors and Endorsers of Network Marketing
Author Todd Falcone | 10.07.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
I had a new Network Marketing associate send me an email about being “drilled” by her family over the 4th of July for getting involved in a pyramid. She asked me how I handle the “pyramid” question.
The answer is, I don’t handle the question. Network Marketing is not a pyramid. (Period!) Pyramids are illegal, Network Marketing is not. It’s really that simple.
The pyramid question got me to thinking about the Billionaires that are involved in some form of Network Marketing, either as an investor or an endorser.
Warren Buffet - The 2nd richest man in the world, famous as the man behind Berkshire Hathaway, also owns The Pampered Chef, a Network Marketing company that sells branded kitchenware. Here is what Warren Buffet said about the company:
“We are extremely excited by The Pampered Chef. Doris Christopher has created from scratch an absolutely wonderful business and Sheila O’Connell Cooper is exactly the type of manager Berkshire admires. They both clearly love the business and the people they work with. We are delighted to add The Pampered Chef to the family of Berkshire businesses.”
Yes, you read that right. Warren Buffet is “extremely excited” about a Network Marketing company. The same type of company that your brother-in-law thinks is a pyramid scheme.
Richard Branson - Reportedly worth over $7 Billion and best known for his Virgin brand that includes over 300 companies. One of those companies is Virgin Vie At Home, a Network Marketing company specializing in cosmetics and jewelery.
The company is a proud direct seller of a quality product line.
Donald Trump - “The Donald” is reportedly worth $2.5 Billion. Known as a global real estate mogul and Executive Producer/Host of The Apprentice TV show, Trump had the following to say about ACN, a Network Marketing, Telecom company:
“ACN is a great company.”
In addition to controlling a huge amount of wealth, Buffet, Trump and Branson have something else in common…Network Marketing. You might want to think about these Billionaires, the next time someone gives you a pyramid question.

Quixtar Changing Name Back to Amway
Author Ty Tribble | 27.06.2007 | Category Breaking MLM News
Quixtar will be changing it’s name back to Amway in the next 18 to 24 months. The change is getting mixed reviews from current Quixtar IBOs and Diamond level leaders.
According to one report, Orrin Woodward’s TEAM, a Quixtar training and motivation system with (reportedly) tens of thousands of members, will leave the company if the change becomes official.
Other IBOs seem to be embracing the change, welcoming back the “American Way” concept and traditions of the founders, Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel.
One source is telling me that Rich DeVos, who retired from Amway several years ago, has his hand all over the decision.
