Tea Leoni to Star in ‘Passion Party’ Movie

X-Files Star David Duchovney is working to put together a project about a Network Marketer who sold Passion Party toys in the Bible Belt of America. Duchovny’s wife Tea Leoni is slated to star in the film. Should be interesting.

Meanwhile, the actor is trying to pull together a project about a real-life saleswoman named Linda Brewer, who made ends meet by throwing “passion parties” and selling sex toys in the Bible Belt. It is to star Duchovny’s wife, actress Téa Leoni, with whom he has two children. Originally the project was going to be a feature film, but now he’s not so sure. It might go to cable.

Quixtar Sues Bloggers and YouTube Posters

Quixtar is going after a handful of anonymous bloggers and YouTube posters they believe are connected to a group that is under court order not to disparage the company.

Don’t worry, unless you are connected to Orrin Woodward’s TEAM in some way, you are safe to blog your opinions about Quixtar.

Direct-marketing firm Quixtar Inc., a sister company of Amway Corp., has sued 30 people who anonymously posted what it considers disparaging remarks about Quixtar in blogs and online forums and in YouTube.com videos.

In the lawsuit filed this past week in Ottawa County Circuit Court, Quixtar seeks an injunction and damages of more than $25,000 against the posters, identified only as John Does.

Quixtar believes the videos and other postings are part of an organized effort by former distributors who unsuccessfully sued Alticor and are under court order not to disparage the company or disclose proprietary information, according to the lawsuit.

Lessons from Great Lives: Dan McCormick and Sterling Sill

What a day it has been!  I have had such a complete, full and rewarding day! 

In an interview I conducted today with Dan McCormick, who heads the fastest growing organization in to hit NuSkin in the past five years, we discussed the subject of “Lessons from Great Lives“, which was a book originally written by Sterling Sill, one of the greatest salesmen that has ever lived on the face of earth.

It is a powerful look into the mind of Dan McCormick, but also of the many Great Lives he has studied.  Dan has been a friend of mine for over ten years, and has been incredibly successful during his 25 year tenure in this profession.  This is a MUST LISTEN in my podcasting section of my site. 

I’m excited to see his new book release, and I am sure you will enjoy this inspiring read when it comes out (soon).

Here’s a little poem pulled from one of Sterling Sill’s speeches in 1974:

The tree that never had to fight

For sun and sky and air and light,

But stood out in the open plain

And always got its share of rain,

Never became a forest king

But lived and died a scrubby thing.

To gain and farm his patch of soil,

Add tools for women to the list. Tomboy Tools is a company that trains sales consultants to market tools designed for woman.

At a typical tool party, women might learn how to repair drywall, install crown molding or use electric tools.

Brenda Ragland is a Roanoke area consultant for Tomboy Tools. Ragland, who is single, likes to tackle home projects herself. She built a pond in her backyard fives years ago. She’s also not afraid to try various repairs at her Vinton home, whether it is installing laminated floors or doorknobs.

“I try to jump in and do it, so I can say I’ve got that under my belt,” Ragland said.
